Can't think of a creative title...

I figure it's time to post something. I haven't actually written anything meaningful in...well, let's be honest: none of my posts are particularly meaningful :) I usually just shoot for entertaining!

Life (as always) is busy. I'm back to school teaching (I'm a sub...and I love it...I really, really do). It's not full-time, but it's helping out financially. I'm also working on my book (chit-lit...Christian romance novel...nothing spectacular, but it's mine). Matt is still hairy (ah yes...see Matt's Miracle blog if you don't understand that statement); my nieces are still adorable (see Growing Up Gabel blog for those money shots); my dad is still bald (you just have to trust me on that one).

I sit a lot. I type a lot. It's giving me writer's butt. I'm not concerned about block...I always have enough junk running through my brain to make up something. This butt, however...I'm pretty sure its trying to spread to cover the ENTIRE chair. I'm re-evaluating my diet (okay...I'm an emotional eater. YES...I ate six Dunkin Donuts one day when Matt was in the hospital...sue me). I've also bought a rebounder (aka mini-trampoline). The idea of bouncing in my living room for 30 minutes is really quite appealing to me...I think that's because I'm pretty sure I can do it while reading a book. ANYTHING I can do while reading a book holds tremendous fascination for me. Plus, the bouncing is good for your lymphatic system and, let's be honest here...who isn't out there trying to stimulate their lymphatic system??

My cats are still crazy (I have proof). My dog...is still nonexistent (but in my head he's a hollow-boned medium sized dog that stands tall, only weighs about ten pounds, only barks when I command using ESP, scoops his own poop and makes blueberry pancakes for me every morning...I LOVE this dog). My house is still about 1,000 sq. ft. too small for the stuff that Matt & I own, but he is working on getting rid of things - whee!!!

Okay, I'm spent. I've been online for 90 min. and need to get to work. Midgie says hello.

Prayers for Randy

Hello dear friends...

Another wonderful name to add to your prayer list...our pastor Randy. Earlier this week after finishing re-roofing the church, his ladder slipped and he fell 25 feet onto the cement. He suffered a broken nose, wrist and kneecap. The doctors have said its a miracle he's alive, as well as not having any internal injuries or head trauma.

He has a 6-8 week road to recovery right now. Please keep him and his wife, Darla, in your prayers. Thanks!

(Matt's doing well! Tired, but well. The hospital staff can even get him to change his undies everyday! Wow!!)
